Having had a couple of tiles on my roof fall off during the recent pants weather, I have decided that slate will be one of the main materials of my garden design. Short of taking the slates from my roof and living in damp conditions, I thought it was timd to find a supplier. To my astonishment, one of the local garden centres actually has slate scree on offer!  Three bags for £12 and you get one free!  Off to the garden centre on Saturday then Wonder if I'll be able to find some space in the garage to store the stuff?  0 Comments 02-08-2007
After posting the pictures of my new garden, Neet and Anne have given me some great ideas! I definitely think that it's coming to the time where I need to draw out a scale plan of my garden to give me something more concrete (no pun intended) to work with!  0 Comments 02-07-2007
It has been the first two weeks of having my very own garden! The prospect of having free reign on the thing brings me so much excitement and dread as this is going to be a long process to create my perfect eco garden! From wandering the land, I have come up with a great number of ideas that I'd like to follow and develop on - of which I will add once I can get around to scanning my crude illustrations! Although I'm being constantly told that I should let the garden be for the first year, I have no intention of listening to this advice! I'm the experimental gardener and already have a strong idea that we won't be finding any gems in the garden of neglect and concrete!
