Hi,
Wasn't sure where to put this, but it is sort of garden related.
Our Plum trees have had a really good crop this year, I have stoned about
100lbs of plums and made Jam, pickle and frozen some. My question is, how do I get the stains off my hands and nails? (it,s too late now to tell me I should have worn gloves:sulkoff: )
I have tried everything I can think of and it still looks awful, HELP

Oh the fun of preserving our crops! :lol2:

I actually can't remember actually trying to get rid of the stains! :lol2:

Do you have "Lava" soap with pumice in it where you live? That usually will scrub the stained skin away, or even some facial cleanser with some kind of ground-up additive (nut shells, pumice, etc.)

Also witch hazel sometimes will work.

:blobyellow: Lemon Juice, got rid of the worst of it, though it did make the cuts sting :sniffle:

Glad something got the stain off at least! Sorry about those cuts though. :hugs:

When my hands get really disgustingly dirty, I use a small "fingernail brush" which really does a great job of scouring the nails and almost everything else. Lemon juice works as well, I have used it for chemicals and smelly problems, as does tomato juice. But the "pumice idea" works as a scouring methoid, just as the small brush (a bit bigger than a tooth brush) does.
Some astringents are used by my guys....alcohol, acetone, etc, and I have used them as well.
