Scarecrows

I found out about these yesterday, I think I am going to have to have a scarecrow in the garden :)

Scarecrows are always fun. I have a couple that I put out in fall as part of my fall decorations.

They are really good fun :jive:
The village we lived in before we left to come to Spain had an annual Scarecrow Festival - shame I dont have photos, each house did one on any theme, like Easter or maybe a character from movies/TV, you had to give a clue as to who or what your scarecrow was.
The organisers then handed out a trailpaper of where to find the scarecrows for a small fee for a nominated charity. This was also with clues a bit like a treasure hunt. You marked off all the scarecrows you found with the title or name of it. The prize was only a small gift as the it was mostly for fun and the charity.
We did James Bond, if was great fun and the walk around the village which of course ended it the pub was good exercise too :)

Those are great Ann, I hadn't heard of scarecrow festivals till yesterday. I love the Owl and the Pussy cat, but I think I might have to have A Hungry Caterpiller in the garden :)
