for only $12 US! :purpleblob: :blobyellow: from the local Roses store. (Just a name, not a gardening center.)
It will hold 3 flats of seed starting packs. The front is zippered on both sides so it can be opened up when hardening off the seedlings.

So far I have started some of each of the seeds from our seed exchange, and about 50 Rose of Sharon (Tree Hibiscus).
I'll post the seedlings progress!

That is really neat, do the cats leave it alone?

My cats have their own house about a hundred metres from mine, so I don't even have to worry about them destroying it! :)

It's about 45" tall by 20" long by 12" deep. Just the right size for a flat of plants. If you can picture those containers from the garden store that have the flats of annuals in them, one of those fits on each shelf.

Yippee!:purpleblob: :purpleblob: How soon is your planting season outdoors Neet?

I can safely put summer flowering bulbs and pansies out about now. Our average last frost date is like March 30, but I am not sure about our new yard. We tend to be a couple degrees warmer than the other localities, so I might chance it and plant some stuff early.

I know, I am amazed. It usually takes a least two weeks when I start them otherwise, but I had little sprouts this morning.
And it's some of the seeds from the seed exchange too.
It's gonna be neat, I can send you pictures of what the seeds you all sent me look like as they grow!

They are still the biggest, getting ready for their true leaves.

Neet, your seeds are looking great. If Winter were to be so rude as to persist, would you find larger ciontainers for your seedlings or wait and hope?
Lots of people change them at a certain point, into larger containers and actually "introduce" them outside, lol. It always seemed a bit anal to me, but it sure does work.

I think I'd just put them somewhere warm and leave them alone. I think the delicate roots are a bit much to handle more than once.

Yup Laureen, they are coming up well! I have a special spot picked out for them, right near the end of where the rose garden is going! I think the blues will go well against the dark green rose leaves.
