Holly bushes

I'm going to plant a holly bush so i can get my own holly springs fior christmas:greenblob: I was at a garden centre yesterday and they were really expensive but i was prepared to buy a couple, but my friend is at another garden centre today with her MIL and she told me she would be able to get them cheaper.

Has anyone ever grew one and can they give me tips so i make sure i plant it right. I've been told i have to have a male and a female if i want berries.

They are VERY easy to grow. We have some HUGE ones in our yars, like 20 feet tall!

If you can get some berries you can also try to grow your own, just push them into some potting compost and watch them sprout !!

Well it arrived on the saturday and was planted straight away :) My friend bought me one from a garden centre with berries already on it and i'm putting that one beside Anns baby as their leaves are a different colour. It's still in it's pot outside, but i'll be planting it on saturday, so i'll take a picture once it's in with the baby :rose3:
