So I´m trying to grow my own pine trees - grand thought eh !! My pine trees produce very good cones and lots of seeds, so I´ve tried a few experiments, I have shaken the cone over a pot and now have about 8 seedlings coming up.
I also like putting pinecones in othe pots as decorations and look what happened - look at all those babies !

I have also planted one that had sneaked in with my grapefruits - he only had a long straggley root, so I hope he survives :flower: :flower:

So gardeners, any tips to help with my survival rate :flower: :flower: hopefully if I get some good sized ones, they will be planted in the spare ground opposite my house

Pine trees always have the one long root, called a tap root. That's why they are not recommended for planting close to a home when you have loose soil, they can be blown over during high winds.

They are pretty hard to kill too, so you should have plenty for the spare ground!
